Hilton Head Events: Concours d'Elegance Motoring Festival

Concours d'Elegance
Sunday, November 6, 2011
9: 00am - 4:00pm
The first Sunday of November... the centerpiece of the Motoring Festival... the Concours d'Elegance. One Hundred and Fifty vintage vehicles, many of the finest in the world, will line the fields of Honey Horn, a historic Southern plantation, under the spreading oaks and flowing Spanish Moss characteristic of the South Carolina Lowcountry to compete for the coveted title of "Best of Show."
ResortQuest Hilton Head Island offers a full selection of Hilton Head vacation rentals for the Concours d'Elegance event.
Considered by many Concours d'Elegance judges, exhibitors and enthusiasts to be one of the top few events in the country, Hilton Head Island will celebrate the BMW as the 2011 Honored Marque. In addition, Hilton Head Island will also feature Brass Era Cars, Motorcycles and Micro Cars. Dennis Gage, host of SPEED Channel's My Classic Car, will serve as the 2011 Honorary Chairman.
2010 Best of Show was awarded to a 1942 Alfa Romeo 6C2500 SS owned by Corrado Lopresto of Milan, Italy. Other top honors from the ninth annual Concours d'Elegance included People's Choice (1961 Chrysler New Yorker Town and Country Hardtop Wagon), Most Outstanding Pre-1948 Car (1923 Locomobile 48), and Most Outstanding Post-1948 Car (1949 Alfa Romeo 6C2500 SS).
